Breach is a demo of how interactive storytelling can be used to create engaging, branching scenarios that reflect the types of challenges learners may encounter in their day to day roles. The learner's task is to support the protagonist Amy on her first day in a new job and help her navigate the various challenges this entails.

This method of assessment can be used to measure the learner's knowledge and understanding of the topic both prior to and following training, or as an alternative to standard on-boarding/induction training when combined with resources such as standard operating policies.

This brief module has a single "decisive moment", that providing the learner with three possible choices. As with the following example, Doorstep Security Check, choosing the correct answer allows the learner to progress down the "green path" towards success, however there are two levels of incorrect answer; the "amber path" that loops back to the previous decisive moment, allowing the learner another chance to choose correctly, or the "red path", where the learner's choice was so seriously wrong they are immediately removed from the module.

Using SCORM, it's possible for the learner's choices to be recorded in the LMS, providing data that can be used to identify any follow-up needs.
